This is a fabulous painting of Legolas and the sea-gulls. The song of the sea has him utterly entranced, and while it is clearly a beautiful sound there is a tension around his eyes that speaks of the deep struggle he must endure to keep his promise to Aragorn. I love the colour of his hair and the gentle soul revealed in his eyes. Luna's Legolas is still innocent even after the trials of the Ring Quest. Luna lives in Japan and I have not heard from her in some time. I hope she sees her work here someday; I am so fortunate that she sent it to me. I am sure we can all agree she is quite talented indeed.
